About Eights Race
Eights Race: Crazy Eights to 150 points. Classic tables keep the rules close to the card games everyone grew up with, from pure Crazy Eights to long points races.
The table
4 players: you and 3 computer rivals. Everyone starts with 7 cards.
Sharp rivals shed high-value cards first, save their wilds for the end and keep the colour they hold most of alive. They are the standard opponent.
The deck
The deck is numbers only: one 0 and two each of 1–9 in all four energies (76 cards). There are no action cards and no wild cards — instead every 8 is wild and every 2 makes the next player draw two.
How a turn works
On your turn, play one card that matches the active energy (colour) or the symbol of the top card. Wild cards play on anything and you choose the next energy.
Can't play? Draw one card and your turn passes.
Special rules at this table
- Stacking: answer a +2 with a +2 or a +4 with a +4 to pass the growing pile to the next player. The first player who can't stack draws it all.
How to win
This is a points race to 150. Each round, whoever sheds their hand first scores the points still held by everyone else — numbers at face value, actions 20, Merciless actions 30, wilds 50 (+10 is 60). Rounds keep coming until someone reaches 150.
Tips for Eights Race
- Hold your 8s. An 8 is your only way to change the energy, so spend it when you are stuck or to go out, not early.
- This mode trains consistency on your skill radar and pays ×1.5 XP.

Yes. After your first visit Prism Riot works offline — add it to your home screen from the browser menu and it opens like an app.

4 players: you against 3 computer opponents at sharp difficulty. Each starts with 7 cards.
Can you stack draw cards?
Yes, +2 on +2 and +4 on +4. A +4 cannot be stacked on a +2 here (it can in Mayhem and the Merciless modes).
Can I challenge a friend on the same deal?
Yes. After a round, tap “Challenge a friend” — the link opens the exact same shuffle for them, with your score to beat.
