'No mercy' editions took the classic colour-matching game and turned every dial to the maximum: draw cards up to +10, stacking everything on everything, and a rule that knocks you out when your hand gets too big.
Prism Riot's take is the Merciless pack — an original set of cards with the same brutal spirit. This guide explains each card and rule, and how to survive a table that shows no mercy.
The Merciless cards
- +6 (per energy): the next player draws six. Stacks with every big draw.
- PURGE (per energy): discard every card of that energy from your hand at once — the most powerful shedding card in the game.
- FREEZE ALL (per energy): everyone else loses a turn and you play again.
- +10 (wild): the next player draws ten.
- REV +4 (wild): reverses direction, then the new next player draws four.
- ROULETTE (wild): pick an energy; the next player keeps drawing until they find a card of it (up to twelve).
The mercy rule
If your hand ever reaches 25 cards, you're knocked out of the round. Knocked-out players are skipped; if everyone else is knocked out, the last player standing wins. Purge Party raises the limit to 30; The Warden boss lowers it to 20.
Stacking without mercy
With the Merciless pack every big draw stacks on every other, and +4-family cards can go on +2s. A stack can climb past +20 in a four-player game — so the player who breaks the chain is often knocked out on the spot.
How to survive
- Keep your hand small: shed high cards and actions early.
- Save PURGE until it clears three or more cards.
- Hold one big draw card as a reply to incoming stacks.
- Play SHIELDs early — a blocked +10 is a swing of twenty cards.
- Use FREEZE ALL when a rival is on one or two cards.
